Hyderabad, April 28 —
Hanumayamma Innovations and Technologies Inc. has expanded its AI-driven cattle monitoring system across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kashmir, marking a significant step in transforming dairy farming with technology.
The company has introduced a smart wearable device — a cow-necklace sensor — designed to track livestock health and behavior in real time. The device collects crucial data such as activity levels, feeding patterns, body temperature, and rumination, helping farmers understand their cattle better.
Using artificial intelligence, the system analyzes this data instantly to detect early signs of illness, stress, or productivity decline. This allows farmers and veterinarians to act quickly, preventing major losses and improving overall herd health.
The innovation aims to boost milk production, reduce veterinary costs, and improve the economic stability of dairy farmers, especially in rural areas where livestock is a key source of income.
Originally founded in California in 2010, the company now operates actively in India with a base in Hyderabad. Its technology is also gaining traction internationally, including in markets like the Philippines and the United States.
Recently, the company showcased its solution at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, where it was featured as part of a national initiative highlighting AI applications in agriculture.
Founder and CTO Jayashankar Vuppalapati said the company’s goal is to use artificial intelligence to make farming more efficient, sustainable, and resilient to climate challenges.
