Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that ₹9,000 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme will be credited to farmers’ accounts in three instalments within 45 days, with the first instalment already released during a ‘Farmers Festival’ event at Narmetta in Siddipet. He highlighted that the current government spends ₹5,500 crore monthly on farmers’ welfare, focusing on crop diversification and increasing farmers’ income.
The CM also stressed expanding agricultural exports, promoting oil palm cultivation, and warned of a potential fertiliser shortage due to global factors. He directed officials to secure more urea from the Centre and reaffirmed the government’s goal to make agriculture profitable and sustainable across Telangana.
