Ahead of the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a set of six key guarantees aimed at attracting voters and outlining the BJP’s vision for the state. The promises focus on development, women’s empowerment, job creation, and improved governance.

One of the major assurances includes the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission for state government employees if the BJP comes to power. The party has also emphasized the idea of a “double-engine government,” highlighting faster development through coordination between the Centre and the state.

The guarantees also focus heavily on women, with proposals such as 33% reservation in government jobs and increased recruitment of women in the police force. Measures to improve women’s safety and welfare have been highlighted as a key part of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah released the BJP’s election manifesto, called the “Sankalp Patra,” which includes several major promises. These include the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) within six months, a crackdown on corruption, and strict action against illegal infiltration.

The manifesto also proposes direct financial support to women, along with efforts to boost employment and industrial development. The BJP has positioned the document as a roadmap to build a “Sonar Bangla” (Golden Bengal), focusing on both welfare schemes and governance reforms.

With elections scheduled later this month, these announcements are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the political narrative in the state. The BJP is aiming to expand its support base by combining welfare promises with development-focused policies.
