Hyderabad, April 25:
K. Kavitha, president of Telangana Jagruthi and former MP, has officially launched a new political party named Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS) at a public meeting held in Munirabad near Hyderabad.
The new party marks a significant political move by Kavitha, who aims to focus on social justice, inclusive development, and welfare-orientated governance. She emphasized that her party will work towards empowering marginalized communities and ensuring equal opportunities for all sections of society.
Addressing the gathering, Kavitha highlighted the need for strong welfare reforms and a governance model that prioritizes people’s needs. She stated that the party would strive to build a self-reliant Telangana with a focus on economic growth and social equity.
The launch comes months after her separation from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, signaling the beginning of her independent political journey. The formation of TRS is expected to reshape the political landscape of Telangana, especially with its emphasis on welfare and justice-driven policies.
