Visakhapatnam, April 26: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to visit Visakhapatnam on April 27 and 28 to attend two major events — the centenary celebrations of Andhra University and the foundation-laying ceremony of a proposed Google data centre.

Naidu will arrive in the city on April 27 and proceed to the Andhra University College of Engineering, where he will receive Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan. Both leaders will participate in the university’s centenary celebrations scheduled later in the evening.

Following the event, the Chief Minister will attend another programme in the city and stay overnight.

On April 28, Naidu will travel to Thurlavada in Anandapuram mandal to lay the foundation stone for the proposed Google data centre project.

Governor S. Abdul Nazeer will also be in Visakhapatnam on April 26 and 27 to take part in the centenary celebrations and receive the Vice-President upon arrival.

State IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh is also expected to attend both the university event and the data centre foundation ceremony.

The upcoming Google data centre project is considered a major investment for the state, expected to boost digital infrastructure and position Visakhapatnam as a growing technology hub.
