ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಾನ್ ಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅಮೆರಿಕಾ, ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್, ಮಧ್ಯಪೂರ್ವದ ಯುದ್ಧಗಳು, ಅಣುಶಕ್ತಿ ಚರ್ಚೆ—ಎಲ್ಲದರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಾನ್ ಏಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರಮುಖ? ಇದನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅದರ ಇತಿಹಾಸ, ಆಡಳಿತ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ನಿಲುವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ನೋಡಬೇಕು.

ಇರಾನ್ ಮಧ್ಯಪೂರ್ವದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ. ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಾಕ್, ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ–ಅಫ್ಘಾನಿಸ್ತಾನ, ಉತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಯಾಸ್ಪಿಯನ್ ಸಮುದ್ರ, ದಕ್ಷಿಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರ್ಷಿಯನ್ ಗಲ್ಫ್ ಇದೆ. ಇದು ತೈಲ ಮತ್ತು ಅನಿಲ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹುಪಾಲು ಪರ್ಷಿಯನ್ ಮೂಲದವರು; ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಭಾಷೆ ಫಾರ್ಸಿ.
ಇತಿಹಾಸ: ಶಾಹ್ ಆಡಳಿತದಿಂದ ಇಸ್ಲಾಮಿಕ್ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿವರೆಗೆ
1979ರ ಮೊದಲು ಇರಾನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ “ಶಾಹ್” ಎಂಬ ರಾಜನ ಆಡಳಿತ ಇತ್ತು. ಆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಮೆರಿಕಾ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಆ ಆಡಳಿತ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತರ ಪರವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿತ್ತು.
1979ರಲ್ಲಿ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ನಾಯಕ ಆಯತೊಲ್ಲಾ ಖೋಮೇನಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ಲಾಮಿಕ್ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಶಾಹ್ ಉರುಳಿದರು. ಅದಾದ ಬಳಿಕ ಇರಾನ್ “ಇಸ್ಲಾಮಿಕ್ ರಿಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್” ಆಯಿತು. ಈ ಘಟನೆಯೇ ಅಮೆರಿಕಾ–ಇರಾನ್ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಕೆಡಿಸಿತು.
ಇರಾನ್ನ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ: ಯಾರು ನಿಜವಾದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು?
ಇರಾನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ, ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷನೂ ಇರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅಂತಿಮ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಪರಮೋಚ್ಚ ನಾಯಕ (Supreme Leader) ಬಳಿ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಸೇನೆ, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ, ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ, ಅಣು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ—ಎಲ್ಲದರ ಮೇಲೂ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ಹಿಡಿತವಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಲೇ ಇರಾನ್ ಅನ್ನು “ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ” ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಯುವಜನತೆ, ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಸುಧಾರಣಾವಾದಿಗಳು ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಲೇ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅಮೆರಿಕಾ–ಇರಾನ್ ಸಂಘರ್ಷ: ಏಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ತೀವ್ರ?
ಅಮೆರಿಕಾ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಾನ್ ಒಂದು “ಅಪಾಯಕರ ಶಕ್ತಿ”.

ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ಅಮೆರಿಕಾ ಕಠಿಣ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ನಿರ್ಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಇರಾನ್ನ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆ ಕುಸಿತ ಕಂಡಿದೆ, ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆ, ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇರಾನ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರ “ನಾವು ಒತ್ತಡಕ್ಕೆ ತಲೆಬಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂಬ ಧೋರಣೆ ಹಿಡಿದಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟದ ಭಾರ ಹೊರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
