In a major boost to India’s agricultural research, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has launched a state-of-the-art ₹12-crore Speed Breeding Facility at the ICAR-Indian Institute of Rice Research (IIRR) in Hyderabad. The foundation stone was laid on Wednesday by Dr. Mangi Lal Jat, Secretary of the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and Director General of ICAR.
